Carmen Sechrist is a publishing-industry veteran, having worked in various capacities within the industry for almost a decade. She has written for nearly every sort of media, including newspapers, magazines, websites and blogs. She has crafted the marketing messages for press releases, brochures, e-newsletters and social media. Likewise, her editing prowess extends from print work to press releases (and even a fiction novel).
Carmen started off her career working for print publications and their online counterparts, where she learned to marry the printed word with the computer screen at a time when online editorial was still coming into its own.
After a few years working as a key editor at a leading design-industry magazine, she switched gears and became a publicist for a book-publishing company where she oversaw the print-media campaigns for multiple New York Times bestselling authors and books spanning the topics of parenting, self-help, religion, relationships, fitness, and cooking.
With a variety of working experiences and hundreds of published pieces under her belt, Carmen decided to pursue freelance writing as a full-time endeavor.
To that end, she brings her multi-faceted background in both the editorial and marketing fields to the table for her clients:
